About Sarah

Sarah Faeth Sanders has been a storyteller since she was a little girl, when she would sit her parents down and spin new tales on makeshift stages, always ending her narratives with the mysterious phrase “A Duck and a Rabbit” instead of “The End.” This tendency of avoiding absolutes followed her into her career as an author when Sarah released her debut novel, a whimsical tale of fated love, found family, and reincarnation that plays with time and avoids absolutes like “the end” by following characters across numerous lives. This initial standalone novel quickly turned into The Metaphysical Love Stories series, an ongoing trilogy set to be completed in 2024.

Sarah received her BA in Sociology in 2012. She attended a private Christian university, inspired by her conversion to Evangelical Christianity in high school. She began the process of deconstruction at this college, and would eventually leave Christianity behind entirely and embrace her more spiritual upbringing. Sarah’s process of healing from religious trauma and the impact of Evangelical patriarchal control informs much of her creative work.

After college, Sarah backpacked through Southeast Asia with her best friend for seven months before returning home and meeting her partner, Adam, with whom she now has a beautiful son named Damian. In 2022, Sarah received her MS in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She currently lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she draws inspiration from her natural surroundings to create new worlds. Sarah aspires to someday become an elusive hedge witch, increasingly one with the forest, communicating with the outer world solely through her increasingly whimsical and cryptic stories and a few friendly crows trained to deliver handwritten messages.
